As Bike to Work Day approaches, consider leading a route from your neighborhood to your workplace.
Here’s what you need to do:
- Pledge that you’ll ride your bike to work on May 20.
- Work with your employer to lead a ride to your workplace.
- Encourage your coworkers to join you. You’ll need to have a ride leader.
- If you need help finding a safe route to work, email us at email@example.com. We can help you come up with the best route for you and your coworkers.
Volunteers from Bike Friendly Fort Worth and Fit Worth will be on the routes to provide refreshments and guide riders.
If you’re not riding but want to volunteer, let us know! We’re still looking for people to hand out fresh fruit and water bottles 7:15-9 a.m. at several booths. The city of Fort Worth will provide the supplies.
And if you’re riding from the Near Southside to downtown, there’s already a route you can join! A ride with the mayor will take off at 7:45 a.m. from the bike share station at Magnolia and Lipscomb to Intermodal Transportation Center downtown.
